How much does a heat pump cost after the grant?
It depends on the size of your home and what needs upgrading. After we've seen your home you'll get a clear, fixed quote with the £7,500 grant already taken off.
How does the grant work?
The Boiler Upgrade Scheme is a government grant of £7,500 towards an air source heat pump. It's paid to the installer, so as an MCS certified installer we apply for it on your behalf and take it straight off your quote. You only pay the balance.
Is my home suitable for a heat pump?
Most homes are. We'll check your insulation, radiators and space for the outdoor unit when we visit and give you an honest answer.
Will I need new radiators?
Sometimes a few rooms need a larger radiator to stay warm at heat pump temperatures. The heat loss survey works this out room by room, and any upgrades are included in your quote.
How long does installation take?
A typical install takes around 5 days on site. We'll give you an honest start date when we quote.
I'm on oil or LPG. Is a heat pump worth it?
Homes off the gas grid usually see the biggest difference, because oil and LPG are expensive to run. We'll talk you through likely running costs at the home visit.
